You are right. Many times I need not mention, it is out from the mouths of the westerners. I was on tour in NZ, met a Danish guy who knew quite a bit about sg and he kept saying that he did not understand why the pay and pay work that way. He was aware that the pay and pay is ever on the go to make Singapore expensive for the people to live in. To him it is crazy to pay so much for a pigeon hole -HDB flat and people slog the whole life to pay for housing loan. He claimed it was so much cheaper to own property in his country unlike Singapore.In fact, I met no foreigners who want to settle down in Singapore, they prefer their own countries.

He has already earned the tittle of Founding father of modern singapore and many tittles..isn't it time to step down...look at those people who spoke in the award...all of them already grey hair and retired in politics except Him.

Well in 1990 he performed a stunt of stepping down as PM but that is for show only because the future GCT and his son are just puppet PM while real powers are still in his hand

Well like I said,each individual would have to weigh the pros and cons before making that kind of decision and I believe it usually favorable.
