LKY is only a person. Indeed, he was a PM for many years and now a MM. During his rule, some people will have different views and crushed by him.
BUT how many forumers have been crushed by LKY personally and hence curse him for his death every now and then ?
Indeed, personal failures, unhappiness and many grouses of these forumers are directed towards a common target ie LKY.
So when LKY really passed away, will their personal failures, unhappiness and many grouses will be gone ? Will they live happily thereafter ? No more personal failures and unhappiness ? The answer is an affirmative NO and they will look for another common target and direct their personnal failures, unhappiness and grouses towards the new common target.

If not for Mr Lee Kuan Yew Singapore won't be what it is today. No offence to the others but from 1965-2009 44 years of independence look at our lifestyle, compare this to foreign countries. We are amount the top countries in the world now.
Mr Lee is not God but God send him definately. You guys need to stay and lived in 3rd world countries to know how good Singapore is.china need development only 30years nia and already coming second biggest economy in the world. we must go temple and prey for mao zhedong n communist?
i had travel to 3rd world countries but it seem like the oldies there is much more happier than in singapore.
