there are many other reasons you can use to get asylum from Singapore:Gopalan Nair.
I must declare that Nair is a migration lawyer in Calif ,USA.
Therefore, forumers must exercise discretion to smell any conflict of interst.
Nair said u can contact him....when u are in USA..
2.ALSO,HE SAID he got asylum. So,Is it a political asylum he promotes here?
I read there are few persons to abt 10 persons from SG granted political asylum
in USA.

- Gopalan Nair
- Determined to find the Truth. Born Singapore, educated Winstedt School 2 (next to Monks Hill in Newton, Singapore) Raffles Institution, National Service, some travel in Europe, then law studies England, return to Singapore, practiced for 10 years, active Workers Party member, stood elections 1988 and 1991 in Singapore, was harassed and persecuted by Lee Kuan Yew for my political beliefs, left for USA, obtained asylum and admitted California State Bar, practice law ever since in Fremont California near San Francisco.
"The good thing about asylum is that the US government is prevented from disclosing the fact that you had applied for asylum in the US to Singapore authorities. Therefore Singapore will never know whether you applied for it or what the result was. Therefore it is possible for you to try to obtain asylum. If you do not get it, you can return to Singapore. Of course morally, such action would not be correct, since it is dishonest for you, on the on hand to claim asylum from Singapore and on the other hand to return to it. But the morality or otherwise of such a decision is left to you. There is no impediment from a legal standpoint in your doing this."

This reporter said Nair was granted political asylum!!
I remember the office of this reporter is on the same building of Nair.

Nair, who lived a total of 35 years in Singapore, twice ran for Parliament as a member of the Workers Party, but lost his bids for office. He immigrated to the United States in 1991, where he was granted political asylum and became a U.S. citizen in 2005.

If Nair can be granted political asylum, then any Tom Dick and Harry can get lah..

GAYS from Singapore are playing the persecution card to remain in the US.
At least 45 gay Singaporeans have petitioned for refuge from hardship in the US since
1990.
This is the number tracked by Mr Dusty Araujo, an asylum documentation programme
coordinator at the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission (IGLHRC).
He told The New Paper that 11 of the petitions were granted, and of
the 45 or so petitions, 18 were made after 2000.

We can understand the bitterness in the noisy pussy towards Oz, if it had tried the same strategy in its efforts to migrate to Oz - and was found out for the silly antiques.
Did the pussy also tried to migrate to the US as well after failing with Oz ?
You must be dumb not to know that both are great allies and would have shared information on dumb pussies that tried to pass off as some bigger cat.
Have you run out of dreams to pursue and now directing your efforts to those who managed to make it to the finishing line ?
It will not help you a single bit in your efforts to get out of the hole that you have made in a mole hill - that you have no other choice but to proudly call it your home.
