China woman denounces Singaporean citizenship on China National TV
STOMPer Stuntman Mike was shocked when he came across this video of a Chinese woman denouncing her Singaporean citizenship on China’s National television.
In the video, it is mentioned that Zhang Yuan Yuan was a student in Singapore and had obtained Singaporean citizenship. She later chose to head back to China, and subsequently joined the army to serve her country.
In an email to STOMP today (Oct 4), the STOMPer says:
“This video shows how a PRC woman proudly denounces her Singapore pink IC to return to China.
“With the influx of Foreign Talents, can we afford to trust them?
“After this incident, are we to treat them as equals?”
Well, that is a good start...
Irked by one confused girl? When thousands of others had stayed and contributed to our country for years?
Whats your purpose? An agenda against new citizens? A rally call for anarchy? Here's another girl that cause a riot of deaths and mayhem in our country once.

Why is it people do not learn from history?
Sucker! PAP
Good job! Zhang Yuan Yuan
is tat a Blue IC?
they come ppl kpkb
they go back oso ppl kpkb
Eh.. tis occurs on the communist's 60th year of survival right?
Another thing, many are too used to the life over there, not all would be willing to give up PRC citizenship eventually
ir
As expected, somebody's IQ too low to understand simple concepts.
Let me explain why ppl kpkb, it's because your father anyhow give away citizenship to anybody, when the plan backfires it's abit disgraceful.
It's like being invited to someone's house, the owner offer you tea, you accepted the tea, but decide not to drink, giving reason that you are not thirsty. Then you walked over to your neighbour's house, you see the lady drinking tea and chatting happily with the other owner.
The moral of the story is, don't offer citizenship to anybody. This is in congruence with the main argument that we don't really like them here.
That is why you are the big floozy of sgForums.
For me, if she is a PR, up to her whether she wants to go back to China to participate in their national day parade since she is still a china national.
But if she is a sg citizen, then it is not too nice. Means she changed citizenship twice - from china to sg and back to china.
So it's confirmed she was a sg citizen? Means pink IC not blue IC.
Poster from Stomp obviously can't understand Chinese much. The video said the girl was given PR status after having studied 5 years in SIngapore but has decided to go back to China. PR is something that is quite freely given out, its not citizenship.

Like I said, if she is a PR, nothing wrong with going back to her own home country to celebrate national day.
But the IC is pink and looks like a sg citizen IC number S81xxxxxxx.
I thought PR IC is blue in colour and probably has a different set of identification number?
The colour is a bit difficult to judge and I have no idea what the serial number system used by PR IC is at the moment. But the Video definitely says that she gave up her PR status, not citizenship.
Anyway, if she took up Singapore citizenship before, it meant that she would have to give up her PRC citizenship previously. I don't believe I have heard of a case where a person who previously gave up their citizenship in China is able to take it up again.
From the colour of the national emblem, the card issued to this lady is RED.
So, she was a ex-singaporean.
Nothing to be angry for taking advantage of the system that provided her free education and free lodging.
It is the policy makers that made the system.
It is also the stupidity of the policy makers that have make the citizenship a mockery.
She is not the only case and she just creating some free loyalty stunt to her country so that they can bring her back.
Alamak, we still cannot determine whether it was a pink or blue IC?
Some people say pink, some people say blue.
Some reports say PR, some reports say citizen.

I think they are different numbers.
I know of a PR, her IC starts with S8372XXX-X.
I doubt Singapore has more than 40,000 births a year.
But I wonder do they follow the sequence if they are absorb into the mainstream citizens.
