Surprisingly in recent times, a lot of "foreigners" are also starting to write in to the papers and forums asking singaporeans to be thankful of the government.

If the act of being grateful have to be taught and encouraged, it doesn't come directly from the heart but from words of propaganda, it is mere psychological manipulation.

Was watching the news just now, I remembered the curly (Finance Minister) telling us that recession is over we are on the road to recovery now. The all of a sudden Lim Say Swee throw us a curve ball and tell us that it is not recovering.

Recovering means election coming.
Not recovering means wages cannot go up or cannot ask for increment.
Have to see who your audience is.

Whoever is the next PM of S'pore, I hope he or she is not one stuck up thinking like a big fuck who grows up talking to rich people only.Must have a commoner upbringing, if not he or she can't put oneself into the shoes of the HDB dwellers and understand the difficulty of life here.
