Well said. Guess that he just wants to tell people off to make himself feel good. Never count his blessings on what he has in USA.
I was told in US even for people working in the florist as assistants they are able to make ends meet and survive without any worry that money they earn is not enough for survival. This is not the case in Singapore.
You kept low profile for so long, now you going back to your usual trolling ways.

I think they have a day job, they just doing this as a sideline.
On the other hand, we have elderlies scavenging the rubbish bin to eke out a meagre existence in Singapore.

I am really grateful to the person who produced this video, sights like these are not what I get to see in my daily routine. I used to think that there were no poor and destitute in Singapore too.
No wonder they are imposing fines on destitutes sleeping on park benches.

You get money from recycling plastic bottles?
I usually bring my glass & plastic bottles to the recycling bin, no money involved.
The aluminium cans are too few to sell.

i wrote a paper on public goods on light house during my college days. Infact in Singapore in the 70s....Chicken farmers would collect left over food trash from house hold, and soya bottle was bought over by private bottling companies. At the end of the year the farmers would Gave each house hold a Tray of EGGS about 30 eggs.

I still take a container to tapao food at the hawkers. Something that is very common in my generation but frown upon by the young ones. We were taught not to waste food or anything and food was plentiful back then.
Now it is the generation of consumerism, the motion that move the economy but devastion to the ecology.

Government's economic policies can have impact on the daily lives of citizens. I am glad that I read some Economics.

Think that's the reason why I don't eat pork.
According to Samuel L. Jackson in Pulp Fiction, pigs are filthy animals.

Why are people so free to type long posts forum?

Anyway my comments. For young couples in Singapore, to get even get a "subsidized" HDB as they start out after marriage, they are immediately set back by a few hundred k in debt...
