Stop Whining Singaporeans !!

Why I am trying to write this is because I am sick of narrow minded singaporeans complaining about their life and singapore. Living in a bubble. Please appreciate what you have and enjoy your life, because trust me you guys are living good. Thank you. I am just a singaporean trying to do a little for my fellow countryman and inform the masses so we dont look like dumb spoilt brats to foreigners.
I been here for 4 years and found that singaporeans complain alot about low wages, high property prices, high taxes. But you see, most singaporeans have not lived in other countries and therefore 'Think' that they are being surpressed. I used to think that too so i cant really say much. Trust me the world out there is alot worst !
You all are being protected and shelter by the goverment. Just give you a little hint, do you know that singapore is ranked 26 when it comes to quality of life In the World.
Here in the USA, many people lost their homes due to the housing collaspe and now live in tents or the streets. I would say singaporeans are lucky that their properties have always risen in value. Medical insurance is way too expensive 2000/year for myself. Many people in USA rather die than see a doctor and millions are without insurance (unable to see a doctor). A classmate broke his thumb and it cost him 15000 USD to fix it. My aunt was involved in a car accident and 5 stitches and one night in the hospital totaled $60,000 !!!!! Can you believe it?
In singapore at least you have poly clinic. Around my university, we cant come out after 9pm because we are afraid of getting shot. Trust me its dangerous. Kids walking on the street get shot by stray bullets. The unemployement is 10% national-wide and detroit has unemployment at 30%, meaning 3 people out of 10 you see on the street dont work at all.Income taxes are 30% or more, meaning three days out of then you work for the goverment. Taxes are raising too. Property taxes are 10% on a property, eg. $20000 a year for a $200000 dollar house. University rates are 40,000 half a year, compared to a few thousand you pay in NUS.And many students have to work and study at the same time because they just cant pay it.
So please. Dont complain.

people who are usually sucessful is because they know the right and wrong. and willing to change the wrong part.

If you are referring the forumites here. We are not complaining. This is not an agony forum and non of us is in agony. This is a politcal forum and we are discussing politic here.
If you are referring to Singapore at large. Singapore is an open society with news, information and people flowing in and out and therefore Singaporean is never living in a bubble.
It may appear to you that Singaporean is complaining because, you have not live long enough to understand the quirks and idiosyncrasies that make Singaporean tick or mad; or you are comparing the benefit/trade off of Singapore's society with your home country, the US. In either case, you are seeing Singapore from a superficial level, as a ousider.
Singaporean tends to be complaining lots because we are a very small nation with very little physical private space and an even narrower politcal space. -

MY WORSHOP IN SPORE USED TO BE ON MY BED.YUP....I HAD A DRILL AND HANDTOOLS ON MY BED SOME TIMES.AND THEN ON THE FLOOR I HAD CHEMICALS,MORE TOOLS N MATERIALS.I WAS AT ONE TIME THINKIN OF GETTING A MINI LATHE MACHINE TO DUPLICATE STUFF IN MY BEDROOM EVEN.
AND AT END OF WEEK THERE IS LIKE A LAYER OF WHITE DUST IN MY BEDROOM.NOT ENOUGH SPACE FER WEKSHOP INN SPORE.
ITS NOT THAT BAD,MY NEIGHBOUR UPSTAIRS HAS A WELDING WERKSHOP AND A 10 TON METAL PRESS WERKSHOP.
SO ITS ALL VERY NOISY N DUSTY EVEN AT HOME...

Quality of life doesn't JUST include work and GDP.
Singapore is ranked 80, after Puerto Rico, Honduras, Colombia, Seychelles, Jamaica, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Dominican Republic.

telling people how unfortunate you are wont help those unfortunate.. action is better than words.. only action will help those people in need..
many people is suffering in singapore but there is also alot of people enjoying life in singapore.. i've seen many people live their life happily and with polish car, big house etc etc..

You may have suffered in the past. You are much better now and those problems are now past to you. Now you are using arrogance of yours to look superficially at others. You look from your ivory tower that is why it is always the fault of the people and not your attitude or the heartless government.
Wealth definitely can solve lots of problems and can bring happiness to people to a large extent and you are fortunate you have it, I urge you to be compassionate, kind and spare a thought for others though you are rich.

My Father went hospital, just some few days of observation in hospital cos him few k. No ops for anything. US paid is much higher than Sg. Imagine my dad go for ops. I think we will go bankrupt.US people is in such state is all becos of their bad gov management. They are stupid to relect G.W.Bush who think US citizen can just keep spending their way thru on credit and fight a 2 stupid wars which bankrupt them.
We Singaporean shall not follow the step of US people. We must choose our Government , choosing a Gov really serving the interest of all cititzen and not some business minded politician who only think abt profit and building up its own asset.

Don't always use third world or Stupid US trying to pain how wonderful Sg is. SG unemployment rate are high and more and more manufacture sector moving out. All they can think is to use tourist(IR) as an alternative to manufacture sector. How clever they(PAP) are???
