That's how Gazelle would reply.
why shouldnt the HDB be playing politics. Afterall, no one can stop them from playing it. The CEO and directors need their bonuses, not to mention that some might have to pay for a $40k french cooking class. ITs a duty to suck up to the higher mortals as they are the ones who pay the bonuses.

Ok. If you do not have the mental capability to comprehend the significance of my post, which I had though you had for i sadly assume you to be an intelligent lady, I will rephrase it:-
How do you expect me to give you an answer when I had not lost or won anything but to offer an insight on my own free will for consideration, as per responses thrown to me by others, some of whom are supporters of your said proponent?
Is winning or losing all that matters to you? Is there even a prize?
Perhaps you can ask deepak with his response. He fits exactly the kind of person whom you are referring me as.
Well, HDB was set-up by the PAP...

Is the X-rat capable of posting anything of significance or consequence in any of its responses or threads ?
When the X-rat begin addressing others in "feminine" terms, it clearly shows that it is losing its center line of blurred thoughts.
The resident Commando had referred to the X-rat as 'Nancy' - perhaps its lesbianism will calm its senses and stop it from sniffing out its own kind ?

Has the bankrupt mind of a X-rat ever given an answer in any of its response to challenge anyone's contribution ?
What insight can a self-admitted insignificant nobody offer except the views that are insignificant and inconsequential - and least of all to Singapore and Singaporeans ?
What a painful it must be for a bankrupt mind of a X-rat to suggest if "winning or losing is all that matters" to others ?
Is it any surprise that the X-rat will have as its principle that - "winning or losing is all that matters" ?
Otherwise, how can one explain for its persistency in being such a egoistic masochist despite being repeatedly thrashed and exposed for all its failings ?
Why can't HDB just lease the flats to people on a term and need basis at a fraction of the market installment rate ?
Why are people made to pay UPFRONT for 99 years of lease and need to borrow from banks to do so ?
Answer : GREED.
If HDB will let young family start up pay $500/mth for a 3 room flat, and have them return the flat to HDB, then lease a bigger flat when the baby comes along, at the same price.
When they become empty nesters, they return the bigger flats to HDB and go live in a 1 bedroom or 2 bedroom flat.
Families pay a standard fixed lease rate their whole life cycle. ( adjusted for inflation)
Tis way resale and skyrocketing pricing problem woulda be eliminated.
The current HDB market pricing policy is obviously class/income discrimination, and does nothing to encourage people to have more babies. On the contrary it makes people to NOT want to have more babies. As more babies, need more room = more expensive.
The allocation of type of flats should not be "who can afford". Rather, should be "need" based according to which part of a family life cycle you are in.

Winning or losing doesn't really matter to me - people who have been in the forums long enough know my style of posting and why I respond the way I respond.
I ocassionally give my views on some of the issues raised in Speaker's Corner, albeit in a more humourous or light hearted way. I don't expect anybody to agree with me and likely one or two others will have a totally different view - does it really matter to me? No.
Perhaps you should ask yourself the same question, since it is you who insist that you are always right while the rest is always wrong (I am sure many of the forumers who have engaged you in debate will agree with me).

What's the story behind this?
Never heard of this name before.

I have to agree on that. Not only having more rooms are much more expensive,if u have a bigger house unit, the calculation of electricity n water fees are also higher than smaller unit. That is another reason why Singaporeans say :"NO BABIES" to our sh!tty PAP government.

Hate to play the devil's advocate but where's the evidence that the calculation formula is different...?
We can all calculate, rationalize and delude ourselves lar. Meanwhile HDB is ripping us off from all and in all quarters.
As long there is no ombudsman or even a opposition party to verify all the statistics n what-have-u are are hogwash.
Vote lar, vote wisely during elections and a change may be in store.

Probably we should just move to the contested GRCs or constituencies to vote wisely.

Ok, when the date is drawing near, will see where to move to.
George Yeo recently wanted sports facilities in Aljunied GRC. What does that mean?
