For a largely ceremonial role, SG president is paid S$3,900,000-00. fiscal 2008. When many Singaporeans in their 30s and 40s are finding difficult to get a job. How many of you believe that octogenarians can EVEN get a job in SG these days.

Let's say 2K/month is a solid improvement for said needy family. 3.9 million will feed them for 162.5 years.
