I am not a supporter of the PAP, although I am not so emotionally engaged that I cannot see the forest for the trees, i.e I am able to appreciate some of the things the PAP has done for this country.
If you do not appreciate your country, and remember the Singapore has been primarily shaped by the PAP, then I can only opine that perhaps you'd be happier somewhere else.
Might I suggest Australia ;)
if ur an entrepreneur in sg, then good for u cos sg is the best place for businessman to start business.
But if ur not, then go have sex operation to be a pretty gal or just blame on ur luck for being a singaporean.

He is cocky coz people like him are the most welcome by the mercenary ruling party. Only the elites can cope well with the continuous rise in living costs by the PAP. He sibeh how lian. Gan ta nen gou "how lian" duo jiu!
By having the money to do business in Singapore does not mean he has the right to get at us and tell us to migrate to Australia. Ugly character!
I think if PAP is not taught a lesson in next general elections, they will continue to fuck us until we are dead.
They must be voted out in next elections.

They are now already "fking" us till we have to grasp for breath. You know even Mediacorpse their propaganda media also money face. To know the address for the food their recommend in the food programme, one must send in sms at a charge to get the address. Frankly, this is the first time I come across TV station doing this for money. yeeee, yucks, mediacorpse!
In general, foreigners who are already living and working in singapore will definitely say sg is a good place.
If not, they would not be working and living here in the first place.
Most PRs are smart enough not to take up citizenship. Those that do take up citizenship will see the consequences of their actions probably one generation later when their sons and daughters will face the same problems Singaporeans are facing today.
If times are tough now, they will be even tougher 10 - 20 years from now.

Not necessarily true though most FTs will agree. Recently, I heard that one FT is feeling the heat about the high living costs in Singapore and is seriously considering to request his company to post him else where.

He prefers to work in countries which have lower costs of living. I don't blame him for it.

he prolly belives every single shit word that comes out of the MSM. and doesnt even read up on online news.
based on his responses, i can sure tell he's just 1 dimensional.
so this is what senile oppressor calls FT? people who come in and stomp on sgreans and speak blindly without substantiating their arguments.
ha. his senile regime is driving sg into a ditch.

Thank you for your words. I am not aware the old senile oppressor also expressed negative comments about the FTs. hahahahhaha!
I have come across many FTs from all over the world and they never have good stuff to say about the local regime. My ex boss said that the ruling party by paying themselves so much $ is a new form of corruption. Sounds like it, hahahah!
Very rarely we come across FTs who are in praise of the ruling party. This fellow is just too shallow about it. If he is a poor FT I believe he will not act and say like what he just did.
damn! prepare yourselves. we may be the last generation to speak singlish. In the next generation, approx 30-45 years time. you'll never hear the words of la, lor, ma, or any other singlish terms ever again.
cause by then,
Invaders 100 ........ surviving species 0.
i wont be surprise if original born and bred sgreans are all gone. (as in this generation's ones)

All you did was you step on the rest of Singaporean to gain what you have. There is really nothing to brad about.
In fact you should be more appreciate of Singaporean in this forum......Singapore is shaped by Singaporean not PAP.

I don't understand why Singapore born citizens are not accepting these foreigners even after they have become a Singapore citizenship? Don't forget where your some of your parents and grand parents were from.

it's good if they become citizens.. will be welcomed with opened arms..
those who use Singapore as a stepping stone to other countries by getting their PR status here.. that's a different thing altogether.. and some article somewhere did say that a majority of PRs do that

You can't talk reason with a mad dog.
If there are still people out there who is going to vote PAP in next elections, I think fate of Singaporeans will be doomed.
Mad dog bite you also become mad soon so this is how PAP is voted into full power at every GE because they had bitten before and nobody seems to notice. For those not bitten yet, kill the Mad dog before the first big bite...support the idea of a coalition government and put a leash on the animal

What is your stand on dual citizenship?
Originally posted by Short Ninja:I don't understand why Singapore born citizens are not accepting these foreigners even after they have become a Singapore citizenship? Don't forget where your some of your parents and grand parents were from.
There is a unwritten social agreement of social and cost benefit trade off...I think we have reach the resistant trade off. Especially in this economics down time and domestics political discourse felt from the citizens.
Also it reflect that Singaporean are coming together as an identity group.

It won't benefit the average Singaporean for one, only for those who could already well afford investments in both countries. So now you get guys who could already afford a home back in his home country able to buy new HDB flats as an investment competing in the market.
Don't really see any advantage to it except as a way for the government to inflate population numbers.

increase immigrant will increase domestics demand. But again you are talking about SG any changes will result in price fluation in basic cost of living too.

Increase domestic demand sounds good on paper, but an increase domestic demand doesn't neccessarily equate that the returns will flow to everyone.
My question is who is dual citizenry going to benefit the most? The people by the logic of "trinkle down economics" or more investment opportunities to people who could well afford it ?
