This not the way to solve the root of problem. It is understood, there is no welfare in sg to help such people. If u are lucky like this ah ma manage to go on interview and get her plight showcase. It is only then people will take note of her and arrange some form of welfare for her. But there are thousands or even hundred thousands of this oldies needing government support.How many lucky one can get their plight broadcast?

who said so, there are homes welfare, and the monk welfare and also peanut welfare to take care of them, just that this old peoples dun want to go or simply not qualified to go.Most of our oldies have childrens, some even have 10 childrens, but either they are stubborn or that the childrens dun want them does not mean that homes dun take them in, the rules of homes is for those completely childless and home. I believe most oldies faces unfaithful childrens who neglected them, that is why the parliament is coming out with a set of laws to govern this problems. Young people today like me do not embrace confucianism laws of family, especially on the care and repay of elders and ancestors. Another set of problem are oldies refusing to listen to childrens or that they mistreated their childrens during their young times and causes their childrens to do the same back to them..like karma. So there are all kinds of factor leading to her poor life, of course we can pity her, but before all, we need to understand her surrounding situation ya.

Lee Hsien Loong said the increase in GST is to help the poor. Perhaps, he can go to meet the people session to see lee hsien loong about it.

Excuse me, govt dun depend on the poors for vote, they form the lower 10% of the population only, govt just concentrate on the middle and rich class alone can win the election liao..be smart ya.
