  Actually things in SG not really that expensive

  esp for cai png~ Less then 3 dollars~~ still ok

  If u make a trip down to Aust cities ~

  one chicken rice will cost 12 bucks~

  of coure then again, sg pay also pretty low~

  so when order cai png~ try to chose all vega

  or one meat and one vega yap

  i think ice cream is also good bench marks, last time a tumbler of Haagan Diaz or Ben and Jerry only $9 to $10, that was about 1 1/2 years ago, now i see $14..omg, an increase of ....so be smart, i change to eat Kings, one big tumbler of 3 litre only $6..eat until fat fat..

   

  I like to point out that cost of living must also factor in one own habit of spending, if you go for high end stuff like Macdonald (which is both a fast and fat food) or imported high class goods, your cost of living will go up faster than those eating at hawker centre, just like chicken rice, my side here sell from $3 per plate to only $1.50 because of competition. $1.50 tho not much, but it is very fast, non excessive eating and also nutritious, in comparing to $7 dollars MacDonald set..with all those soft drinks and burgers,..no wonder most guys are fatty
