Exclusive overheard bridge for Concourse Skyline condo will divide SG society
This is damn wrong that new condo Concourse Skyline (demolished commercial wing of The Concourse at Beach Rd )get exclusive walkway to the future Nicoll Highway MRT station.
This is a 200 meter covered overbridge linking the condo and the MRT station.
This bridge is "passable only to residents".It means only to the condo residents!!
How can a long overhead bridge,occupying the public space,open only
to residents of this so called high class condo?there are many people in Beach
Rd also need a bridge to this MRT station.
We dunt need the money
Even the developer pays land premium or rent to SLA,this bridge shall be open to the public.Gavaman and the developer shall share the construction cost and future
maintenance and repair cost of this proposed bridge and open to the public.
This is wrong that gavamna build another bridge near this exclusive one
This will send a wrong signal to the public that we have a divided society.
If u rich,u will walk on your own way!!

The public can use the bridge, just that the portion linking the bridge to the condo is for the residents' use only.

The project will be carried out in three stages, the first being the overhead bridge spanning Nicoll Highway. It was completed recently.
Construction of the second stage that links the overhead bridge to the MRT station, complete with lifts and escalators, is under way.
Once the Concourse Skyway nears completion, the final segment joining the condo to the bridge will be built by Hong Fok. Access to this segment will be through a secured doorway, passable only to residents.
