Foreign politician that you like/agree with

This is a thread talking about foreign politicians in particular, and bascially discussing which politician do you like, and can agree with him or her in regards to their politicial philosophy.
For me, it would be Tony Benn, former MP and former cabinet Minster in the UK.

In my opinion, he has a very strong idea in regards to governance, and a government should do.
It would be nice to have an MP like him in Singapore, have strong personal principles, and dare to do things even though they are controversial because it is the right thing to do.

professional politicians are almost always scum of the earth, dregs of humanity...
the rest hid their vested interests well...
p.s. those who were accidental politicians, most aren't that good either..

Another foreign politician i like is former Taiwan President Lee Teng Hui.He bring in real democracy into Taiwan despite the threats from Mainland Communist China.He is a person with "Real Guts".
Oh,another one is former Russian president Boris Yeltsen.Although he had passed away already,but he is still my hero.He tookover the control from Gorbechov who is idle between whether to implement democracy or maintain communism in Russia.
Yeltsen,unlike his former boss Gorbechov ,decisively tookover the control of Russia from him,and implement democracy in his motherland.Compare to the also idle n undecisive Goh Chok Tong,plus fearing of his boss Lee Kuan Yew,GCT is really a "peanut" when put him with all these Great Leaders.

During his time as the President of USA, he successful turned the US economy around.I ever suggested to kick out the lhl and engage a foreign talent PM, engage Bill Clinton to be our first FT PM.

You have no freaking clue how he screwed up Russia even though they have democracy. Democracy=/ prosperity.
Bill Clinton? He's the one who allowed the current economic recession to take place with him repealing the glass-steagall act.

I'm not so sure about Lee Teng Hui, i find him rather wishy washy about Taiwan Independance.
I have my suspicions on whether he views himself as a Japanese or a Taiwanese.
Ron Paul and Ralph Nader seems like pretty good politicians to me.

Well, i can disagree with Ron Paul on his small government stance and agree with his stand on fiat currency, i don't neccessary have to agree with everything on their political stands.
But both politicans by themselves are eloquent and seemed to be reasonable individuals.
