e 14.5% is actually cut from your pay
if e boss decided to employ a executive in his company n his budget is $3000
base on 14.5% i.e. $435, he willing to pay u at most $2,565 or less
in fact u r paying the e cpf all by yourself

Now, who provided the laws that employer have to contribute 14.5 percent?? Next, is this 14.5% your money?
by the govt imposed the laws for the boss to contribute into your welfare CPF...you earn more, they paid more. So at the end of the day, you got 1 million in your CPF, remember 14.5% of it is what the laws provided it
if u noe....... u won't b mentioning the above.........

that is the laws, why should i not mention it when it is at face value, but the hindsight of it is more on business constraint. I am a boss myself of my little pubs, i employ peoples tho my Dad have the final say, but we look into all points before determining the basic paid. Same goes to foreigner workers, the govt got laws in levies and taxation and housing, we have to look at all these components before determining the basic paid. This is a basic of employing someone, we also need to look at the market value in wages to stay competitive. Otherwise all run to our competitors then i have to do all the work myself, including servicing customers.At the end of the day, we give a contract of service, the person agreed to be contracted for service, and that is it, nobody is going to say you use my CPF deduction to compensate my paid and all these nonsense,...no no...business dun work these way ya. You got to differentiate laws and payroll. Even a chicken rice sellers have to study his rental, tax, Gst, bills and many other factors before he gives a basic paid to get an assistant.

This is the first time I heard a business owner doing this. Tell us what formula you use for calculation. I think all business owners must use the same formula as you, else why does the majority end up with almost the same figures.
