I think every year, less and less people are hanging up the flags.
Only at designated spots where the RCs do up the area with flags and posters of the MPs and such.

Uncle, i just ask you one question, why is oppositon still here fighting for the interest of Singapore, they can be a Director or CEO or some rich professors somewhere...
Temasek too is acting in the interests of your beloved Singapore...oops, or is it the regime and Lee dynasty?
So how does that mask the guise of the notion the party is seamlessly woven into the fabric of the state?

That's no different from someone who insists on eating something he hates.
You should go for a psychiatric evaluation then. It's not rocket science that's hardly rational behaviour.

Yeah, it doesn't take away the irrational element in the behaviour, does it?
If you were trading stocks and insist persistently on buying high and selling low (which a certain state-orchaestrated scam has perfected the art of consistently doing), it's not prohibited, is it? But equally, that does not render the behaviour rational, does it?
To explain your conundrum is akin to explaining the logic behind the behaviour of lunatics - you obviously can't and hence justifies the need for asylums to house them.

Beloved?? that is past tense lor.....on no, Singapore died already.
Anyway, i believe that there is patriotism here from all walks of life, it all started in the begining, yesterday i watched the Singapore story at Discovery channel, i saw riots, fighting, betray, bloodshed, peoples that i never seen before..all struggling, be it class struggling or status or power, ...we all love singapore, just that it end up with PAP on top with british support. As said, history makes what the present is, and the present makes what the future holds.
In fact, most of us are neutral on the govt, but you got to give them some credit to make what we are today, for me, i do love singapore, and that is why i dun wish to see another riot and civil struggle.

I think buying high and selling low is a unique culture to certain firms in a minority of one. That probably explains why anyone who doesn't share the sentiment (ie. most rational market participants who buy low and sell high) is said to possess "strategic differences"...

Really? Are you giving Kim and gang credit for exercising total control over North Korea?
Still, you haven't addressed the guise of separating the state from the party despite your valiant attempts to paint a colourful picture on the story...

You better make sure they pay you other-worldly allowance before you do it - after all, you live in a regime that is stratospheric in the compensation department. Just ask your Dear Leader - oops, I mean your PM...
no, but LTA gives free car labels of a flag NDP 09 only if i pump at Caltex,...damn even NDP also want to make money.
I am not going to paste the label in my car, unless i can thru ERP free

Well, even if they pay that other-worldly allowance, they will take it back one day. That is the way the leechgime functions.
Pardon me, you sound as though you are not a Singaporean.

Singapore is still vibrant and moving is because of its open policies in embracing FTs and Free trade. As such, we are also vulunerable to any economy gitches both domestically and internationally.
As far as top FT is concern, you need to employ 6 singaporeans inorder to get one, and that taper off till the lower workers side whereby you need to have 1 singaporean inorder to employ 3 foreign workers. This basic rule of thumb can change as we move along. Therefore, you can guarantee Singaporeans getting jobs, especially at the higher end. As for the lower end, in fact, heavy industrial is finding it difficult to get locals to join in, this may due to old age population and the younger ones dislike of dirty and hardwork. In the end this lower end bosses have to seek MOM for more foreigner workers with an exception of no singaporeans. This typically happen in our IR construction, it lack of locals and without locals, boss cannot get foreigners to help out.
Yes foreign workers are needed to do the dirty jobs. But not so much for white collar professions.
I just feel it's normal for foreigners to receive discrimination at the workplace by Singaporeans by being judgemental on their cultures. Mock their cultures to make them feel embarassed. Don't make their races new official races of Singapore in future.

Humans are afterall territory protectism creature, as graceful as we wanted to be, I cannot blame singaporeans for discriminating and dislike for foreigners here, in fact, we Singaporeans are more tolerable then most country due to our multi racial adaptation.
It is the same if we work in another country, perhap you get more discrimination than them, especially so in country with a majority of homogenous citizens and few minorities.
As far as i observed working in pubs, there are two types of foreigners perception, in term of singapore, one group understand that because their country is poor or poorly governed with no job or low pay job, they come here to search for better pasture and opportunity, the other are kind of booasting that their country is better than here, everytime compare ours and theirs, get his own fellow workers to join him in condemning Singapore, but still come here to work.
I found that the former is more truth and understanding that they are here to work and we welcome them to help our economy, whereas the latter are just jealous, troublemakers and got lots of dissatisfaction but do not want to admit it. For these type of people, yes you can discriminate them all the way.

Obviously you do not know what you're talking about.
Clearly, if there were that many North Koreans seeking political asylum, it would go to suggest you cannot separate a country from the party in dictatorships. It hardly is "another case altogether"!
If you can't conclude how many North Koreans seek political asylum, how on earth do you know they unstintingly love North Korea? Are you talking sense?
