i remember when i primary sch (early 1990s) when national day almost comming, we can see everywhere alot of flag. i remember my neighbours and my mum go buy flag together and urge the neighbourhood to put on flag. mamashop, kopitiam also flag here flag there. the spirit and atmosphere is really good.
but in the present no more or not much ppl put flag liao. only gov put nia... in addition, you see the liverpool vs singapore match.. whole stadium almost all support liverpool. you can hear the majesty echos of LIVER POOL~ LIVER POOL~ and the thunderous cheers when liverpool scores.
Sg become like this y ar... is it goverment's or people's fault?

The answer is obvious.
It is completely and totally the fault of PAP regime.
In order to save Singapore, they HAVE to go.
People now busy earning $$ unlike last time can relax abit
Now no money no talk
Now no money no talk
That is due to PAP regime.

i disagree...
the PAP is taking advantage of the cynicism of people like you to stay in power...
and if you cannot differentiate between that screwed up party and the country, you're part of the problem...

In order for PAP to go, you have to go first
I don't mind my country, Singapore but not the ruling party. I don't blame people for not able to differentiate between the ruling party and the country Singapore because the effect and impact of the ruling party is so great, it is affecting everyday of our life that it blurs the vision of singaporeans to know the difference.

With the 200+k dunno can buy how many landed property else where
well, i was one of those who used to remember to hang the flag near National Day.
Then I realised, I have to buy it, then i have to know how to hang it, then if I want to throw, I have to go special place to dispose, also, i have to take the flag down after a certain date. And I can't use it at sports meet to demo my support for my national team.
So end of day, I just let the RC do it.
Now no money no talk
We have to be clear about the root cause.
One of his faithful ministers, the late S Rajaratnam, echoed his sentiment by sneering,
"We want to teach people the government is not a rich uncle. You get what you pay for.
We are moving in the direction of making people pay for everything."

If we are clear about the causes of problems in society, we can act clearly and forcefully.
If we are confused, we cannot act.

You are still not clear.

Definitely difficult to differentiate between Govt and PAP.
Simple Example:
PAP uses upgrading as a carrot to woo voters. This is incorrect because upgrading funds come from the taxpayers, and therefore the funds belong to the Govt, NOT PAP.
It's theoretically incorrect to threaten Potong Pasir and Hougang residents with upgrading because they pay the same amount of taxes
