Well, they did serve you during elections. If you are living in opposition wards, they served you abalone porridge in the morning. For those living in PAP wards, you are served with their "sincere" handshakes at the MRT stations on your way to work. Besides, during elections, they gave you money and told you they will upgrade for your estates. After elections, the money given were taken back in the form of fee hikes from transport, electricity and water. They also forgot to tell you that estates upgrading are not free and there will be a priority queue for estates who voted for them most during the elections. Anyway, you missed out the word "should"Politicians should serve the voters not the other way round.
Unfortunately, singaporeans since young have been misled into thinking that they are serving the politicians instead.
Thanks for the correction.
Yes, politicians should serve the voters not the other way round.
And not serve the voters only during election but throughout the term 24/7.
It's about commitment of discharging their duties.

Fair GRC system? What planet do you live on?
Perhaps, you could try making a case for someone starting a 100m sprint at the 90-metre mark and exhaust all other avenues to redress the innate disparity inherent in this arrangement?
There is not going to be fair GRC system as long as the ruling party is PAP

stand so tall for what, most of those standing short are our Ministers, the likes of Wong Kan Seng, Mah, Jaya, etc etc, do not need to be in someone's shadow nor do they need dream to own their fate.
