After he divorce with his wife.And also,half of his HDB flat selling price to his wife also.No wonder Singapore man dont dare to get married.
With the PAP government out-dated n unfair law that keep siding women,Singapore man would rather married to foreign women n migrate to other countries.I believe that is also 1 of the reason why our country population keep dropping.
And the PAP government still naively wondering why Singapore men n women dont want to get married.LOL!!!!

And also,if a man divorce with his wife in Singapore,his children(if got any),will mostly hand over to the custody of his wife when they go for lawsuit.And he even have to pay for her living expenses.

And also,if a pair of couple no longer love each other n they try everything to mend their relationship but fail,what is the point of forcing them to stay together?Like LKY n LHL force LHL's first wife to stay in marriage.In the end,they have cause her to die.
Besides,divorces are so common nowadays in every corner of the world.Our PAP so detest of divorces n comes up with a law that is one-sided(so favour in women),is this another sign that they cant catch up with the ever changing world?

i don't see how the Women's Charter has anything got to do with PAP... are you saying that if PAP is overthrown and another government steps in, they should abolish the Women's Charter?
if so, i can predict that all women will vote for PAP in the next election if the opposition plans to abolish the Women's Charter as part of it's "marketing" campaign and then 20% of the men will vote for PAP because they are lackeys of the Lee regime so in the end, ultimate failure. Well, to be fair, TS did mentioned marry women and migrate, therefore no protection.
The again, it's high time to do some amendments to the women charter. Unlike the past, women these day are not as naive and uneducated compared to the past.
Women these days are educated, some are smarter than men and in some cases, more scheming than men.
The outdated women's charter therefore become an ideal and formidable weapon if women have the right knowledge on manipulating it and you can't deny the possiblity.

If my memory serves me right, government (P@P) is not the one who are making changes to the law and have the final say for it but you never know what's happening at the back.

i do agree that the Women's Charter has to be reviewed frequently to be in sync with today's situation, however we still have quite a big number of older generation women in their mid 40s or 50s that has to be protected. of course if you meet a wife who is able to manipulate the law into her favour, i'll say you are f**ked then... too bad but again, why marry her?
if you want to put PAP in the unfavourable light, use something more substantial like ERP increment, high unemployment rate or something else that both gender of Singaporeans can relate to. if you use something like the Women's Charter, you'll only get backlashed from our ladies...
