He think SG WAS not ready for PM. that was twenty years ago. From my limited understanding of the circumstances of that time, Singapore WAS not ready for indian PM. But now, the year 2009, i am sure that singapore is ready for indian PM.

Not too long ago in the previous generation, your skin colour, your dialect, and your native village (up to even today and for those who know the Indians very well, your caste) were sensitive, emotional but explosive issues.
Compare to the previous generation, the younger generation has become more colour blind.
