i believe that each and every singaporeans have a different way of thinking or accepting foreign here, it does depend very much on how is your own situation and your own need, i respect that, but however, to some, foreign entry is indeed good for singapore economy, taking into personnal view it of cos each individual rights but not the whole lots. -

Foreign tourists and expats are still welcome as they bring investments into our country. But as for foreign talents competing with the locals here for jobs, well show us respects first. -

Only benefit of staying in my company is 1) still serving my scholarship bond, 2) provides CPF, not that it has much use, 3) company insurance, 4) social networking with pple of similar or older age, 5) tuition occurs after office hours anyway
oh, sorry i meant, FTs as tuition teachers. cant imagine an FT teaching in government schools.

Usually those foreigners will be very protective of another foreigner from their own country. If they had to sack.. they will sack Singaporean first.
That's how they take over and protect their "territory".
To them.. there's no such thing as fair play. Especially the ones from third world country.

In order not to be be uprooted by these foreigners that you hate so much you should start to secure your own position with paper qualification, skills and be competitive or just tie yourself to the biggest tree at the botanical garden and be comfortable with your KPKB-ing. -

Typical Singaporean always thinks about own pocket first to make decision.
Govt should raise the income tax for foreigners who choose to come to singapore to work. In return the tax revenue should goes back to -Re-Training workers or help pay for unemployment benefit displaced by foreigners.

Yeah. Foreigners shouldn't share the same benefits as Singaporeans. If they do, make sure they'l be PR for at least 5 years. Not just been staying in Singapore for 5 years.

please do understand to some people here who do holds certificate and at anytime, qualify to get a job, however, the labour competition with foreign Talents in term of wages had make these group of academic people to either go jobless or take up a job with a very low paid.Today, the street is full of degree holders both from locals and foreigners, as a boss, you sure to take the cheap source, and as an Academical person, you should know what is Globalisation and borderless labour.

i would second that motion, also a cut in scolarships for foriegn students where a subsidy of 10-20% would be apporiate, not everything free in here. -
