ITs amazing that people who complained that Singapore is not liveable are still living in Singapore. You know its actually not expensive to go to Canada? So you can always move over there any time. I assume that everything is cheaper there and you will be so much happier there, why not just do it? You cant possibly expect Singapore to please you just because you are not happy with it right.
Its just that you walked into a luxury shop and insist they lower their price because you are unhappy with the price or you think its too expensive.
Or you go to KFC and insist you dun like chicken and they must sell you duck.

Basically Singaporeans are brought up to grasp on everything and not learning to let go easily.Can't migrate because parents still alive going to miss my relatives,friends and morning prata,or my primary School is still standing.....etc.And then after migration when parents,relatives and friends have long gone,Secondary School building also gone....they want to come back!

paying any bribes to any one,from any one in airport to PM!!
u ask your maid then u know in few countries just few hours flight from
SG,the maids have to pay bribes to officials in airport before they can
board the planes.This apply even the maids have every papers
to leave the country.They say these are free and democratic countries
than Singapore.WTF!!

The Jobseeker Study
There were several things that surprised me about the jobseeking experiment:

To get the same number of interviews as an applicant with an Anglo-Saxon name, a Chinese applicant must submit 68% more applications, a Middle Eastern applicant must submit 64% more applications, an Indigenous applicant must submit 35% more applications, and an Italian applicant must submit 12% more applications.
- Discrimination against Chinese and Middle Eastern jobseekers is highest in Sydney, and lowest in Brisbane. As a Sydneysider, this rather dispelled my notion of tolerant Sydney vs redneck Brissie, but it’s entirely consistent with the literature on migration threat, which finds that an influx of migrants increases prejudice. In the long-term, Sydney may end up more tolerant, but the short-term effect of being the number one destination for immigrants is a rise in prejudice.
- Even in data-entry jobs, there is substantial discrimination against non-Anglo applicants. This indicates that it can’t just be customer-based discrimination, but must be either driven by coworker or employer biases.
The chart below shows how Australian discrimination in 2007 compares with similar studies that have been done in other places and at other times. The way to read the vertical axis is that 1 means the minority candidate must submit just as many more applications to get the same number of interviews, 1.5 means the minority candidate must submit 50% more applications to get the same number of interviews, and 2 means the minority candidate must submit twice as many applications to get the same number of interviews.

All those parking areas are Brisbane CBD areas. Their CBD is much smaller than singapore. Let's not even get to crown casino's 18 oz bucks for 2 hrs.
Where else in Oz can you get a 2nd hand car for $400?If you think Oz parking is a rip off, try San franciso, US$20 an hour.

singapore is really hard to live. too bad i don't have any talents like the foreign indian talent who is currently working in my company now asking simple technical questions and seeking super high salary.
imagine a 40 years old indian guy asking me on how to calculate voltage drop on a cable when his salary is 1K more then mind. age more then 10 years of mind. this foreign talent? they just say they know everything and get the job. but in the end they know nuts.
singapore is really very hard to live.
we need brain scan and liar scan before we get foreign talent to come to singapore.

Do the interviewers ask you some technical questions during the interviews ?
Surely they do not look only at paper qualifications. They should be properly screened to ensure realistic qualities.

cos you lack a skill they have in abundance ..... self promotion .....
it doesn't matter a damm if you're capable and nobody knows you are ......
but for them it doesn't really matter if they aren't worth a damm cos they are so good at pretending to be great and throwing smoke ....
meantime, they are still earning more than you are .....
it's something to be learnt from these sort of FTs ... they certainly got a talent for selling themselves and throwing smoke ...
