After these people have earned enough, they can leave for retirement in their own country.The government does not have to spend $_$ to take care of these old people. To note that we are already facing a graying issues.
It is inevitable that Singaporean have to work and work for to sustain the economy and the birthrate will definately drop. The only way to replace manpower is foreign manpower. If we are lucky, some foreigners might choose to stay here as citizen to increase our population because their homeland is plagued by war and political unstability etc.
And also to increase our genes pool.

Let us all do our part by talking to the foreigners about how yucky PAP is to discourage them from converting to citizens. Just have to spoil PAP's plan. This is my mission.

You are well to do, so no qualms for you but not everyone is lucky like you. There are people who are struggling to make ends meet. So be considerate, kind and sensitive.

well, my take.
with the increase in these foreigners or FT, we felt space is taken from us.
However, the top people doesn't feel it,and keep asking us to integrate..
the key is, these top people can retire to their caves at the top of mountain once they done with their work, never take public transportation, each time they visit their zone, it gets polish till you can see your teeth. Everything is staged.
We look @ our rice bucket and wonder where we going to find more, they look at theirs, and complains why it is not full..

The problems with majority of the singaporean is they are breed differently than the Iranian. We lead a peaceful life and are used to the lifestyle that has conditioned us foolishly complacency. People who don't like living here, dread the cost of liviing here, just move out of here. Life over in Iran is very different on the other hand.

Hmmmm....... all new citizens regardless of age, nationality and gender should 1st undergo 2 years of compulsory National Service, then go through 2 - 3 weeks of reservist trainings every year for a period of 10 years. Why should they have the easy way of taking up citizenship without going through the hard way first? Besides, the country will have a bigger pool of people to defend the country when needed.

Foreigner come work to earn money .. can... just that when they leave.. make them leave behind their CPF also. The CPF can go into the pool of retirement funds.. that will eventually become senior welfare.
If they want to stay.. no problem.. enjoy the CPF also.. if they don't want to stay.. they can go home.. and let those who stay enjoy the CPF.
