Is PAP's morality based on any religion ?
Is Confucianism a religion - as it is used by MM LKY to guide the relationship between the Government and the Citizens ?
Which religion does Low Thia Kiang depend on for Worker's Party to follow ?
Similarly for Chiam See Tong ?
What religion does the SDP depend on for its moral compass ?
Is religion mixed up with politics in Singapore ?

Everytime, the topic on homosexuality pops up, some minister or so would remind Singaporeans that Singapore is a conservative society. The homosexual law was due to the Christian British Colonial government. Just to pull some strings with China, the ruling government tries to put up a confucianist front with a advancing outlook.
The Reform Party seems to be pro-christian as it is against the setting up of the IRs in Singapore due to immoral means of creating a new niche market.
The Workers' Party seems to be based on confucianist values on society and family while having a democratic legal system to support the common working people.
While the SDA seems to calling itself democratic socialist, there are signs of it being morally guided by judeo-islamic-christian religions. It doesn't show signs of supporting secular growth in new unexplored niche markets like cloning, bio-electronics, bio-materials, etc.

Homosexuality is fact that Asian Govts need to deal with... Although most Asian people are still not quite accept it...
Basically, this issue is not really related to religion, just about how people react to the homosexuality, and the acceptance level... If majority of the population treats homosexuality in a normal way, political parties will have to follow the people...
Politics serve the power...

Is Conservatism exclusive to the Christian faith only ?
Even if there is the existence of the homosexual laws in Singapore - that is supposed to be inherited from the Christian British Colonial Government, does it require the present Singapore legislators to be Christians to implement such laws ?

Is the opposition to gambling the exclusive turf of the Christians ?
Your views seems to be colored by your own narrow interpretation of Jeyaratnam being a Christian imposing his Christian values when leading the Reform Party; and Low Thia Kiang being a Chinese imposing Confucianism into the Worker's Party.
SDA guided by "judeo-islamic-christian religions" ?
How did you come to such a remarkable conclusion ?
Is there any significant Judaism influence in Singapore in any way ?
If the SDA does not show any "signs of supporting secular growth in new unexplored niche markets like cloning, bio-electronics, bio-materials, etc" - it is largely due to the dull leadership quality of Chiam See Tong.
Has it anything to do with the SDA being influenced by a combination of religions ?

We as asian should preserve our asia conservative image, do you know that many a time, westerners of normal genes told me that they like our culture, conservativism has it own advantage, not only we dun openly accept homosexual, we are more family orientated, more social concious of the older peoples and more filial piety than our counterpart in the west. We do not condone homosexual, we just leave it as it is, homo peoples have the right to love each other, book rooms, be romantic, etc etc..just that there is no legal paper to marriage. Unlike some die hard oppose of homosexual in the west, they will kill them, protest on street, kick the govt etc etc...you should be glad that we are still tolerable to live side by side with homosexual peoples. However the increase of homo peoples is a worrying part tho.
And politics dun alway serve the power, sometime and most of the time, it serve for self interest.

Is the Penal Code of Singapore based on British laws? British laws are based on the Christian code of morality.
Try reading the different party manifestoes and I got the above feelings. By the way, are you so sensitive about the judeo-islamic-christian religion thingy that you cannot accept that they came from the same religious root?
SDA is frightened by the population who follows the judeo-islamic-christian thingy that it doesn't want to embrace science and allow science to help the people at large.

Simply, I like to ask the people: Are homosexuals humans too?
