honestly speaking, do you like the PAP?

cos in my opinion, they are too high handed in their actions (take for instance how ho ching lost billions of singapore's funds, and people still praise her). They marginalize the poor and favour the rich. (e.g. they anyhow give employers and home owners 12billion freely, while poor elderly cleaners have to go through vigorous checks before being allowed grants of $100 bucks a month) They shut us up, then criticize us for being politically apathetic. They are full of self praise, while they keep saying singaporeans are ungrateful, greedy, shallow, or materialistic (e.g. lee senior said sg'eans should be grateful our girls dont work as maids, while lee jr said we should learn to be grateful for having handphones and air cons.) And they don't understand the feelings of the common man because they are all so (self-made) filthy rich. and many more..
but what are your opinions?

We are being called ungrateful. LKY and gang are the ones that are ungrateful, they are ungrateful to us who feed them. Without the people there is no lky and PAP.
Obvious that they are in power mainly for self serving.

Well, LKY did lose a lot of the country's money in the China thing. And he also said the things about children following their parents' professions,(We all know why he said that) but he did many MANY positive things for Singapore.

Every time I go to Giant at Tampinese, I would sit at the wooden benches after have paid for my stuff.
I would see the horde of people passing by, many with a huge pile of purchases. But all, like me have bought some thing.
And I wonder wtf, where is the most serious recession of all times?
These people are buying like it all free. And they are ordinary heartlanders, can be seen by the ah soh, mak cik, mamas, uncles, aunties, boy boy, ger ger, budak, ah pek, ah seng, mat moto, aneh, tambi, plus some foreign workers, that are all there.
Keep up the good work, PAP, at least, in some field you are doing well.

Those people are buying, voraciously. That means they have income. They come from all walks of life. Some are entreprenuers, many are workers earning a salary. It isn't a magic bullet that makes all this happen, not only at Giant Tampines, but the scenario is repeated at HDB Hub, IMM, and at all the regional centres that has shopping malls.
Which fields? is there a one field that does it all. Peace, prosperity, and progress, even that generalization is three in one. All others play a part; defence, education, health, banking, and what not, I don't think you can pin point one sector. Its the whole gamult all working together.

macha, do you think you will find the poor people at Giant? This makes as much sense as seeing the healthy people on Orchard and concluding that nobody is sick. Try the hospital instead.

Sure got people waitingat giant mar...The shopping mart is understaffed and the staff are also very slow. Most of them are buying necessities like food.
And Of course, people would rather shop at giant than shop at Ntuc which belongs to the government in one way or another.
