While Politics in Malaysia is still driven by the persistent insistence of the dominance of one inferior race to be the superior one, its inability to develop the country has allowed the other "superior" races to excel in an environment that demand the standards to be set to the levels of the least capable.
Second Class Citizens in Malaysia ?
If such a treatment is ever part of any official public policy, such a situation can be challenged by the citizens taking some very publicly pro-active political actions.
Can the same happen in Singapore, where citizens have no political rights ?
The PAP has made Singapore an efficient, safe, stable, and clean environment for the building of businesses, careers, and raising of family.
Beyond these physically superficial appearances - why do Singaporeans generally feel that they have no control, nor influence over their own future ?
Singaporeans are made to be dependent to the PAP's continued political control of Singapore, and any deviation to the present status quo that had existed for the last 52 years will lead to Singapore's deterioration.
Somehow this "Paradise in Singapore" is made purposefully fragile, and despite all the sense of stability, safety, security, and calm - Singaporeans are continuously reminded that this veneer of appearance is simply "paper thin".
Singaporeans are reminded constantly that despite all the aura of modernity and progress, this is but "Works' in Progress" - ongoing since 1957 - and require the PAP to continue at the helm perpetually.
Is the Singapore model more superior or more advanced than the Malaysian model ?
While discrimination exist in the form of racial politics that is manipulated to gain political advantage, a different kind of discrimination exist in Singapore - and takes the form of social stratification.
The Singapore discrimination cuts across racial divide and is practiced as an art by the PAP in its cleverly disguised practise of "social elitism" or "meritocracy".
Those belonging to the PAP - its CEC and its privilege Cadre membership - are the privileged few in Singapore, with access to political and commercial positions, while Singaporeans are treated as no more then the Second Class Citizens, treated as mere cogs in the economic wheels contributing to the PAP Government Treasury.
Do Singaporeans have any political voice, when the PAP has disenfranchised all political rights that were protected in the Singapore Constitution ?
Without political rights, does the Singapore Citizen have any political control over our own future, and to be subjected to continuous political manipulation ?
Are Singaporeans not treated as prisoners of our own "success" within the golden cage created by the PAP ?
