When North Korea launches nuclear tests after nuclear tests these decades, all the world's politicians can do is to issue statements like:
"This is an abhorrent act"
"What the North is doing is threatening all of humanity"
"We urge North Korea to return to the 6-party talks in order not to further destabilise the entire region"
"The country of Japan and the Japanese people will not tolerate this at all."
"We urge the North to refrain from taking any actions which will deteriorate the situation".
"North Korea is directly and recklessly challenging the international community."
When the Myanmar junta shot it's own people last Sept and recently when Aung San Suu Kyi was arrested for some lame reason which was not her doing, ASEAN and the world issued condemnation statements like:
"These claims against Aung San Suu Kyi are outrageous" (Hilarious Rodham Clinton)
"ASEAN, the regional club of nations, expressed "grave concern" over the trial and said "the honour and the credibility of the [Burmese government] are at stake."
blah blah blah......
all these govt officials ever do is to make "condemnations", and then ALL-TALK-NO-ACTION.
WTF?!
and the US always threatens sanctions against Myanmar, and even if they carry it out, it will only harm the people way more than the junta.
anyway, back to this N-Korea crap.........these nations can issue statements of condemnation till end of eternity and they should have common sense to know that as long as no action is taken, such "condemnation" are USELESS!!
How many hundreds of sentences of condemnation has our own local government issued to the press regarding such events?
and in those tragic events, governments of the world love to use words like "We are deeply saddended and sorry for....." and "It is unfortunate to hear that...."
My take is.....if no action is possible, then pls shut up and don't make such tough-talking statements.
Everytime I hear the press use the words like "abhorrent", "outrageous", "no regards for humanity" or "deeply saddended" blah blah blah, I cringe non-stop.
My advide to all governments of this world: Stop the hypocrisy and behave as real governments behave.
And Mr. Obama.....I thought he was a world-changing saint as the media hyped him up to be, but it's barely 1 year for him in the White House and he's morphing more and more to become like the previous presidents, and less and less like the "Yes, we can! Change will come!" man we got to know and love during the elections.
In short....politicians = trash, or maybe even, politicians =< trash.
Let's get real.

You should post this in the speaker's corner instead of here.
Well, the problem is that these countries complaining really cannot do anything. If they were to really shoot a missle or attack North Korea, the next thing they know would be a nuclear bomb on their own people.
In an ideal world like SIMS, everybody will live in peace and harmony.
This is the real world.
Nothing ever makes sense.
Oh yes.
Let me add.
Life is surreal.
Life is surreal?
Just remember that in another parallel universe, life could be bizzare.
No leh, I like to make my characters in Sims die just for the fun of it.
:x
The job of politicians is to make speeches and talktalktalk...even though most of the time they don't make sense...but they gotta have something to do, don't they? :)

The best way to kill a Sims char is to build a swimming pool, send him/her in, then sell the ladders. : D
Well, that is what politicians are for. Talking.

These countries should shoot a nuclear bomb at North Korea first
