Well the qns now is how did he escape Singapore... We see that the government increase security of borders but he still got out... so what does this show? singapore government increase security but never increase enough?

What face is there to save? He was captured after being on the run for more than a year! Who knows what further damage he has done while on the run. He was not captured on Singapore soil because we have the great WKS who thought he gave us a clever insight into Mas Selamat's whereabouts with his "could be here, could be not here" bleedy stupid line, especially from a man earning $m!! If a member of the opposition had said something so stupid, the bleedy PAP will die of laughter. But because one of their idiots said it, they managed to keep a straight face and looked at WKS like this joker can really protect Singapore! What face to save?! I still find it unlikely nobody spotted him when he did that.
Everybody was already on high alert.
Don't tell me he could float/swim at 50 knots per hour across to the JB coastline.
If you stood at the causeway, you could probably see to your left and right the whole stretch of water or the majority of it.
