I want to start a new political party.
It would be called the "Singaporean First Party" (SFP)
All government policies would benefit the Singaporean first, before foreigners can benefit. All jobs must be offered to Singaporeans first, before foreigners can be employed.
Forigners intending to work in Singapore must speak English, even if they work as a coffee shop attendent.
Singaporeans shall have priority for everything......foreigners can join the Queue....
Today, I am a stranger in my own land of birth......
How many jobs in the IR will be reserved for Singaporeans? I've heard that Philippine President said Singapore had promised 5000 jobs for Filipinos out of 8000 available......
We need a Singaporean First party to give Singapore back to Singaporeans.
Do you feel you are also 2nd class citizen in Singapore?

Around 5,000 new jobs would be made available to Filipinos in Singapore’s Sentosa island, one of the city state’s main attractions and the host of the newest integrated resort, Resorts World which opens in 2010.
Philippine Labor Secretary Marianito Roque who visited Singapore recently said, he was able to get openings in Sentosa for 5,000 Filipinos.
The bulk of the hiring will be coming from Resorts World at Sentosa, which operates the integrated resort, which announced that it would be hiring around 20,000 people by the middle of the year.
The US$4 billion integrated resort is developed by Malaysia’s Genting International.
The mammoth resort will occupy over 49 hectares of land and will be the home of Universal Studios, Singapore, Southeast Asia’s first and only Universal Studios theme park and it will feature 24 attractions, with 18 rides exclusively designed for the park. The park will be divided into six zones - including Superhero City, Egypt, New York, The Lost World and Hollywood.
The integrated resort will also have six world-class hotels offering a total of 1,840 rooms for accommodation. Each hotel is designed with a different theme, catering to both the leisure and business visitors.
The casino, with a floor area of 15,000 sqm will be located beneath Maxims Residences, which is an all-suite hotel with a magnificent view of Singapore’s Southern waterfront.
Still under negotiation, more jobs for Filipinos at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore’s first casino, being developed by Las Vegas Sands.

Singaporeans kenna farked again....
Who will speak out for us? Who will speak out for Singaporeans who do not have much education? Who will speak out for the older worker, the aunty and uncle, the mak-chik and the minorities?
How can singaporeans survive if foreigners can be employed at very low wages....? say $800 per month?
Not even enough for bus fare and food.....
Does Government care at all ?????
Uncle, why not you open a foam party at sentosa, we, the youngster, sure will support you every weekend

Omg, u must be new here, my Uncle is already the TS
Go ahead. if the new party has its top priority to serve the public then I believe many will support.
Its true you know, many will attend your rallies, many will cheer you on, many will boo the PAP. WP and SDA rallies are always well attended compared with the PAP, I am also sure that you will receive as much support, kind of like what the late Harban Singh got.
Go for it.

can feel the wave of foreign worker flooding singapore market in many areas.
Nowadays everywhere coffee shop / food court many stall already run by china chinese.
Road side constraction ( india..etc )
Paint worker ( Thai / vientnam )
Bus captain ( china chinese ).
My friend encounter a bad experince with china chinese bus captain. He ask do this bus go here ?? ( bus captain answer what in mandrian ) I think he don't understand english at all. Of course my friend ask again ( He reply this bus go straight straight ).He got piss off. (by the way my friend ask him in english )
The government must control and increase the standard when getting foreign workers ( must learn simple communication skill ) somemore in service line like busing.
Don't you think so.

I am interested in how your friend asked.
I have heard a guy asking, where is this bus going?
he got the answer, " to Yeo Chu Kang, then Paya Lebar, then Upper Paya Lebar, ....."
Hehe, I guess " going straight" is not a wrong answer, "going back to depot" is also not wrong.
Yes, I agree bus drivers, like taxi drivers need to communicate, but don't do it just in english, many people in singapore don't understand english.
TS, you be the matchstick and we be the fire.
Of course, your actions must strike the match first, then we keep on burning and support you!
Anyway, i feel that we are lower than 2nd class citizens here. With all those foreign workers infesting this country, i starting to ponder on my existence in this country...

I feel the same. They are so fond of manifying the negative side of the locals and there is this programme on mediacorpse specially shows the bad habits of Singaporeans. Nothing has been magnified on the negative sides and bad habits of the foreigners. Thinking that we pay so much for the TV licence - $110 - a lot of $$$.

Singaporeans lose some jobs to the foreigners is not entirely the gahmen’s fault. It is the EMPLOYERS’ choice.

Most MNCs are foreigners too, so why should they want Singaporeans?

Good question. Depends on what nationality the owner of the MNC is. I come across french mnc in Singapore employ many locals (very few french) whereas others employ a fair number of locals and foreigners.
I want to start a new political party.
Go ahead, I support you.
Face with such harsh competition, Singaporeans should do something to help themselves get employed rather than pointing fingers blaming others.
Wow, standard PAP propaganda.
Not bad.
condoning , ha ha ha ha ha. crap, really
