Malaysia also same.
Weeding Operation; also referred to as Ops Lalang) was carried out on October 27, 1987 by the Malaysian police to crack down on opposition leaders and social activists. The operation saw the infamous arrest of 106 persons under the Internal Security Act...

He is just another anglo dog autocrat.
Nothing more, nothing less.
LOL. I think overthrowing a government is a bit farfetched.
Just that I'm beginning to respect a certain CSJ more nowadays despite his psychotic tag by our National Propaganda Media. Just hope that he is the real deal. But then again, who wouldn't be blinded by powers?

It is a real challenge for people with power and authority to be upright in the midst of temptation.
i only drive to sch in the far west.
i take public to go town.
i feel ERP shud only be applicable for those who go to central.
those bypassing central area, solely wanting to go from east to west or west to east should be excluded! unless their train services could be more frequent.
i've seen accidents happen at times like 0854hrs.. right behind me.. because ppl infront slow down their cars in hopes of the timing to change to 0855hrs so can save 50cents.
in the end, the 2nd car behind me hits the car behind mine... and i get away w/ it....
Things i observed.
Topic ==> ERP
what i see ==> PAP bashing
I have a feeling the topic don't matter at all, the things i see will be the same.

okie, lah, what do you have to say about the topic? I think the govt should just do away with ERP and implement something that works.
somehow he is anti west, so I don't agree with u on this.
Don't be fooled by the dog's propaganda, he is pro-west, not anti west.
The view that Lee Kuan Yew is anti-west is a complete lie.

ERP in the CBD area seems fine. and they are already building more roads.
I can't really think of anyway to improve it, so i won't go and say that the plan sucks and demand for something else if i can't think of any way...
Just taking my public transport which is cheap and fast, lalala....

Sorry about the OOT dude.
Haha. However, the first few posts are really about ERP, then some on road hogging, some on the almighty power of buses and finally it came to this.
As per my first post, I agreed that ERP may be effective. However, this is not the case of what we are experiencing right now. Hence, if it is no longer effective, the only reason to continue with it is really up to anybody's guess.

You take public transport, how you know the pain and resentment of drivers?
then some on road hogging, some on the almighty power of buses and finally it came to this.
It is inevitable, since all public policies in Singapore ultimately goes back to PAP regime.

i don't oppose. I asked them for better alternatives. like, convince me with logic why we shouldn't be doing this, and what alternatives should be used.
And like i said, i only say i observe the PAP bashing. You can carry on doing that, i am not opposing that.

yup, the effectiveness goes down. How effective it is, i can only guess. Let's say if ERP is turned off for the whole of May. Than BAM! you can see if ERP is working or not. Will traffic be as per normal, or will we see jams to rival that of bangkok?
