In Singapore, with the despot cursed and senile, behaving dishonorably and grabbing onto power like a mad dog, can anyone be surprised that the country is in the deepest recession in its history?
Grab grab grab without like you say "balance" and take take take from the people without like you say "balance", only leads to down down down for the country.
I just watch watch watch and laugh, having warned everyone in sgforums that this was going to happen.

Why a place called Taiwan which has a corrupt, multi-party political system could have a strong economy (several times the size of Singapore's) and a formidable electronics sector ??
This question makes me a bit confused. Anyone smarter could offer an answer?
Let's get the facts right:
GDP (PPP) Per Capita (2008):
- Singapore US$51,142.33
- Taiwan US$30,881.48
Unemployment (2008):
- Singapore 3.13%
- Taiwan 4.14%
Population (2008):
- Singapore 4.668 mil
- Taiwan 23.039 mil

Yes, I quoted the figures for GDP per capita. How else do you compare with an economy which has 6 times more people than Singapore?
The GDP per capita is what IMF looks at when comparing relative wealth of countries.

Take his idiotic advice if you want and take the opposite side like when I said to sell the markets in July 2007

YES we really need some strong opposition in the parliment loh. Not just to oppose but 'another voice'. say 40%. I still hope to see PAP as the government. But where to get these 'opposition'???
