Recession-proof yourself means being able to survive and still be able to bring the bread home no matter whether there's a recession. It is yourself. You are responsible for yourself.

For me, I like giving tuition. Although income can be rather inconsistent, it is paying about the same as my job already
But that's still not the destination I'm aiming for. Now still young, fresh grad, healthy enough to chiong hard. But for my current situation, if I ever kenna anything, not only pay medical bills, but also lose half my income.
Well, just have to save up some cash first before the next big step.

Recession-proofing yourself is definitely important thats why the government keep emphasizing on upgrade and re-training. Maintaining versatility as an employee in times of reccession is definitely one of the ways to protect your rice bowls. Yes its deinitely the responsibility of the government to protect its people during reccession but its also the poeple's responsibility to ensure their employability.
